Novice Language Proficiency
This cultural protocol and the digital heritage items within are shared with, visible, and accessible to any site visitor, regardless of protocol membership.
Novice learners are able to engage in simple conversations by using memorized questions and practiced or formulaic language. Meaning may be negotiated using words, phrases, simple sentences, gestures or facial expressions. Learners may be able to reference an authentic resource or information that they have previously collected.
In other words beginner learners can have basic chats using language they've memorized, like questions and phrases they've practiced a lot. They can understand and talk using simple words, sentences, or gestures. Sometimes they can mention things they've learned from real sources they've looked at before.
